Scene Film Festival Screening: I'm Your Venus

SCENE is Manchester's LGBTQ+ Film & TV Festival, taking place from 15th – 22nd August 2025. The festival features a vibrant week of screenings, panels, Q&As, celebrations, and special events, showcasing both new and classic LGBTQ+ cinema and television.

This year, Treehouse Hotel Manchester joins the festival line-up, hosting two exclusive screenings in Flix. First up is I’m Your Venus on Saturday 16th August.

I’m Your Venus is a moving and timely documentary following the unsolved murder of Venus Xtravaganza, star of the legendary film Paris Is Burning. The memory of a ballroom legend lives on as Venus Xtravaganza’s as Venus' two families - biological and ballroom - come together to seek answers and celebrate her legacy. 

Ahead of the screening, guests are invited to a Rosé Brunch at Pip, located within Treehouse Hotel Manchester. Madame F, a wine brand created in collaboration with LGBTQ+ artists and allies, proudly supports queer creativity and self-expression — making it the perfect pairing for a celebration of LGBTQ+ film and culture.
