The Books That Shaped Me With Actress, Lucy Boynton
From the award-winning, sell-out live event series, Sex Talks: London's hottest new book club, The Pleasure Shelf.
Every month join host, writer and journalist Emma-Louise Boynton, as she sits down with fellow book worms and authors to deep dive into genre-defining reads covering feminism, intimacy, romance and pleasure... all the juicy stuff.
Whether we're hearing directly from the author of that month's book club pick, or Emma-Louise is discussing the themes it explores with another literary nerd, these will be conversations designed to delve into some of the most topical issues within feminsm and the politics of pleasure today - all through through the prism of the books we know you'll want on your shelf.
For our launch event Emma-Louise is joined by the biggest book worm she knows, her sister: actress, Lucy Boynton. Aside from starring roles in films ranging from Bohemian Rhaposdy, Sing Street, Cruel Love, Why Didn't They Ask Evans? and many more, Lucy was recently involved in the International Booker Prize, performing extracts from the nominated books for the 2025 prize.
Together they'll explore the books that shaped Lucy's thinking around feminism and pleasure, all of which happen to be written by women.
Coffee and refreshments will be served all morning; a curated (by Lucy) selection of books to buy; giveaways and much more.
